A fundraiser has been launched to help pay for the funeral of a teenage girl who died suddenly last week.
Kaydee-Louise Lucas tragically lost her life last Tuesday at just 15 years old.
She has been described as a ”beautiful, kind and caring young girl who was loved and thought after by many.”
A Gofundme page set up by family friend Catherine Meadowcroft has so far raised £970 of its £2000 target and friends have gathered to watch balloons being released into the sky in her memory.
On the page, a family member said: “We are so moved by the donations so far, as you can imagine we were not prepared to be planning Kaydee’s funeral, not at 15.
“Kaydee was such a loving, bubbly girl. She loved doing her makeup and spending time with her friends. Kaydee suffered a very hard life from when she was born, and we know she would appreciate the support she is receiving from everyone.
“We have received so many kind words, condolences and stories of Kaydee from her friends and peers. We still cannot believe she is gone. Thank you again for the continued support.
"Please share this as far as possible to enable us to give Kaydee the best send off possible. Anything raised over and above her funeral costs will be donated to Suicide Awareness.”
Catherine added: “I’m raising funds to help towards funeral plans to give her the best possible send off.
“Kaydee was 15 years old and tragically lost her life unexpectedly on Tuesday evening. She was a beautiful, kind and caring young girl who was loved and thought after by many. The family are finding it extremely difficult to process this and ask your respect their privacy at this time. They thank you for any help you can provide.”
