A fundraising campaign has been launched to raise money for the funeral of tragic Larkhall man Jamie Waugh whose body was found months after he went missing.
The 29-year-old disappeared on January 31 when he was last seen leaving an address in Glen Avenue in the town.
Months of frantic searching took place as police alongside friends and family looked for Jamie.
However, his body was recovered from Avon Water just off Glen Avenue in Larkhall last Sunday night.
A campaign has been launched to raise money to help pay for Jamie's funeral costs, with the aim of collecting £1,500.
It was set up by family friend Cherise Mcgarrell to help take the pressure off the tragic Scot's family at a sad time for them.
The page read: "Hi, I'm setting up this page to try to raise some money to help my friend and his family with the cost of his brothers funeral.
"As many people may know Jamie Waugh went missing on the 31st of January and the family were holding onto the slightest bit of hope that he would be found safe and well.
"Unfortunately Jamie was found dead on the 1st of August in Larkhall.
"I thought I'd make this go fund me page to try help towards the costs of funerals etc to take a bit of the stress from my friend and his family to let them grieve in peace.
"Any contribution no matter how big or small would be so appreciated.
'Thank you for any donations and taking the time to read the story."
Jamie's brother Paul had previously paid tribute to his sibling on social media.
He wrote: "We can now confirm it was my brother Jamie Waugh that was found. As you can imagine this is a heartbreaking time for us all.
"Thank you for your support and please respect our privacy at this heartbreaking time. RIP Jamie sleep tight."
