Fundraiser launched for family of tragic father and son Vincent and Sully Rossi who died in horror crash in Co Offaly

A fundraiser has been launched to cover the funeral costs of tragic father and son Vincent and Sully Rossi.

Limerick native Vincent, 29, and five-year-old Sully died when their car collided with a lorry near Tullamore, Co Offaly, on Monday.

And a GoFundMe campaign to help the family pay for their funeral expenses has raised a staggering €11,000 in less than 24 hours.

Vincent’s daughter Hayley, nine, was also injured in the collision and remains in a serious condition at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

Another son, Daniel, eight, was rushed to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

The fundraiser also aims to help young Daniel and Hayley with their recovery after the horror crash.

A message on the GoFundMe page reads: "As many of you know, Vincent and Sully tragically lost their lives this week in an accident with Hayley and Daniel.

"We would would like to ease the pressure on their family by asking for donations towards giving them the best possible send off that they so truly deserve.

"The money will also go towards any help and support that Hayley and Daniel will need in the future.

"Every donation is really appreciated and a share if you have time."

A total of €11,621 had been raised in just 17 hours, already nearly reaching the €15,000 goal.
