Fundraiser for tragic dog Keisha who was found viciously murdered reaches nearly thrice the original goal

An online fundraiser launched for tragic Dublin dog Keisha who was found killed and drowned in a canal has reached nearly thrice its original goal amount.

Clondalkin man Kevin Tierney's beloved pet daschund was found stuffed in a gym bag with a phone cable wrapped around her neck just a few hundred metres from her home.

The pooch, 34, had escaped through a downstairs window of the house two weeks before the shocking discovery.

The GoFundMe fundraiser called Justice for Keisha was created yesterday and has already amassed over €2,900 - nearly three timed the original goal of €1,000.

Kevin told the Sunday Mirror: “Keisha went missing on the 7th of September, she got out the sitting room window, a little escape artist.

“I was relentless looking for her, sharing it on social media, putting up posters, walking the canal searching for her, doing everything I could.

“On Thursday I was coming home and a kid asked if I found my dog. He said he’d seen a dog in the water in the canal.

“I walked straight over, I found her. In a gear bag decomposing in the canal with a charger tied to the handles and wrapped around her neck.”

Kevin has so far raised €2,600 towards getting justice and he reported Keisha’s death and a disturbing TikTok video to the Garda yesterday.

He said: “Whoever did this had to have been someone local. She obviously never left the area. I’ve gone through hell.

“After I found her I had to come home to get a Stanley blade and a towel to cut the wire from her neck.

“I had to cut her out of the bag, she was swollen up to three times her size from being in the water.

“I put her in a carrier bag and carried her home and placed her outside in the garden. I’m making arrangements with a crematorium.”
