Funding opportunities available for South Lanarkshire community groups to help with the cost of living crisis

Funding is available for South Lanarkshire voluntary and community groups to support locals through the cost of living crisis.

The National Lottery Community Fund’s cost of living grant is available for projects to help locals, families and communities who are currently facing hardship due to the cost of living increases.

The National Lottery Community Fund aims to fund activities that will reduce the impact of, or prevent, financial insecurity.

They are looking to fund activity that means people have more resilience and are more able to identify ways to deal with the impact of the increased cost of living in their lives.

The funding is also given to people to shape activity in their community to address the increased cost of living and to allow people to have more access to support and services that will help them to deal with the increased cost of living.

The funding is available for activities that supports individuals, families and communities currently experiencing hardship as a result of cost of living increases and projects that increase access to services and support for people facing financial hardship.

The grant is suitable for voluntary or community organisations with between £10,001 to £75,000 being funded to groups.

To apply for the funding, a bid needs to be made. Support is available to develop a bid by South Lanarkshire Council’s external funding team, who are available at fundinganddevelopment@southlanarkshire.gov.uk.
