So we're now into September, the kids are very nearly back at school, which means that whether you want to resign yourself to it or not, summer is basically over.
However, don't get too disheartened as, while the nights will soon draw in, that means it's almost time for Halloween, which is definitely cause to celebrate!
We know from past Halloweens that loads of you love to embrace the ghoulish festivities and if you've got some little monsters in the family you might want to take them to Funshack in Newcastle as the massive soft play centre in Benfield Business Park is throwing an equally massive Halloween bash.
The party on Halloween itself, Thursday, October 31, will run from 6-8pm and as well as Halloween musts like a disco, party games, spooky character visits and of course hot dogs and juice, there will be goody bags for children to take away with them.
There will also be prizes handed out for the best fancy dress so make sure your kids (and you!) dress to impress.
