Fuming Tesco shoppers clash over 'retro' £4 Cadbury chocolate was spotted in supermarket

Tesco shoppers have clashed heads after familiar 'retro' chocolates hit the shelves in stores.

Certain foods bring back memories, or mark special events and these ones signal the return of a very significant day.

Tubs of Cadbury Roses, Heroes, Celebrations and Quality Street have all been seen stacked up in some supermarkets with a welcomed cost of just £4, Manchester Evening News reports.

The sweetie tubs, for many, act as a beacon towards the 'C-Day'.

That's right, Christmas.

We know it's only August and still summer, but when a shopper posted a photo of the chocolate boxes on a popular Facebook group, customer went to war over, with many accusing Tesco that is was 'too early' to bring back Christmas.

One shopper quickly pointed out: "You know you can eat chocolate at any time of the year, right guys?"

"Far to early ,ridiculous!" said one disgruntled shopper.

Another wrote: "[Is it is already Christmas?] Oh gosh it is not. Help."

"Too early, they'd be eaten if we got them now lol," slammed a third critic.

A fourth suggested: "Do not start buying them in August. We all know they won’t last until Christmas."

"U have got to be kidding me!!!" Another fumed.

However, on the other side of the battle field, Christmas lover rejoiced over the return of their favourite festive chocolates.

"CHRISTMAS IS HERE," exclaimed one Tesco shopper - clearly enthused by the idea of delving into a box full of chocolates.

Another said: "Better to stock up now if we can on this sort of thing!"

A third Christmas lover wrote: "We can start stocking up for CHRISSSSSTMASSSS ."

"I can smell Christmas," commented a fourth.
