Fuming Strictly Come Dancing fans 'miss' first two dances over change

Some Strictly Come Dancing fans were left fuming as they 'missed' the first two dances of week seven.

The celebrities and their professional partners have officially reached the half way mark of the BBC One competition with the Glitterball edging closer into sight.

Viewers watched as AJ Odududanced her way to the top of the leaderboard with a dazzling Charleston and McFly star Tom Fletcher received his first 10's of the series.

But that wasn't before some Strictly fans encountered a problem.

Saturday night's episode aired almost half an hour earlier than it has recently been airing, starting at 6.45pm and finishing just after 8pm.

Adam Peaty and Katya Jones took to the floor first with their jive to Little Bitty Pretty One by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers, followed by Rose Ayling-Ellis taking on a samba to Cinema Italiano by Kate Hudson with Giovanni Pernice.

However, unhappy fans complained they 'somehow' didn't see them perform.

"OMG what time did Strictly start?? I've missed half the show," tweeted one fan.

Another said: "Somehow missed the first 20 minutes of #Strictly…"

"Why did they change the time i’ve missed half of it #strictly," a third cried.

There were also tears among viewers last night as TV chef John Whaite performed a rumba with partner Johannes Radebe to Shape Of My Heart by Sting.

Even the judges were left emotional by the 'gorgeous' routine and Craig added he "might steal it as my wedding dance."

Adam and Katya, who survived the dance-off last week, found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 27 while Sara Davies bounced back with a Quickstep to Dolly Parton classic 9 To 5.

The results will be revealed on Strictly Come Dancing on Sunday at 7.15pm.
