Fuming Great British Bake Off fans want Paul Hollywood out after last show's decision

Fans of The Great British Bake Off have called for the show to replace Paul Hollywood.

After the controversial semi-final on Tuesday night, viewers were left furious over the judge's decision.

The Channel 4 show saw Paul dish out the most handshakes ever given in one challenge to Crystelle, Giuseppi and also Chigs.

But fan-favourite Juergen sadly missed out on the 'Hollywood handshake' and was sent home, losing out on next week's final.

After the episode, Paul Hollywood began trending on Twitter as viewers all began making the same demand, reports Birmingham Live.

One fan wrote: "I’m calling for @PaulHollywood to be removed as judge from #GreatBritishBakeOff and be replaced by literally anyone else!"

Viewer Timmy said: "Can @PaulHollywood be replaced as a judge? And prue too?? We need someone younger and relevant and who won’t kick off good bakers from the show."

"This is a fix can we look at having Paul Hollywood replaced!? The judges are truly biased and have their favourites! someone who should have gone home last week now in the final," Alex added.

Some Bake Off fans even joked that Juergen should step into Paul's role.

Rachael Kane tweeted: "Petition for Jurgen to replace Paul Hollywood as a judge on bake-off - I’m in! Rice Krispies in a showstopper."

"Paul Hollywood with his cold dead eyes, looked out and saw pure talent and decided to beat it to death with a baguette. Next series let's replace him with Jurgen," another agreed.
