Fully vaccinated Scots will need to isolate on their return from amber-listed France due to concerns over a potential vaccine-evading variant of coronavirus.
All travellers arriving into Scotland from the European country will have to follow the 10-day quarantine rules, regardless of vaccination status.
The Scottish Government recently announced that travellers who have received both doses of the Covid vaccine will be able to bypass self-isolation rules when entering into Scotland from an amber list country.
But there is growing fears over the recent emergence of Beta variant infections in France.

There is early evidence to suggest that the strain, which was first discovered in South Africa, may be able to evade vaccine protection.
Anyone arriving from France will have to spend 10 days of self-isolation in their own accommodation. They will also have to take two Covid tests during that time.
Scottish Transport Secretary Michael Matheson said: “Nobody wants travel restrictions in place for any longer than is absolutely necessary.
“We have been clear that the green, amber and red lists can change at short notice. It important we act quickly to limit the risk of importation of variants of concern which could undermine the rollout of our vaccine programme.”
Changes to the rules for fully vaccinated passengers heading back to Scotland from other amber list countries will still go ahead.
The new rules will come into force from 4am on Monday, July 19.
