When it comes to "Fuller House," Netflix has decided to Cut-It-Out _ or rather, Cut-It-Off.
In the same announcement that the streaming giant revealed the sequel to "Full House" would be renewed for a fifth season, it also announced that it will be the sitcom's last.
Netflix made the announcement Thursday with a video featuring highlights from previous seasons, punctuated by cast members promising they have "saved the best for last."
A continuation of the ABC family sitcom, which had an eight-season run from 1987 to 1995, "Fuller House" premiered in February 2016 as another example of TV's growing nostalgia bender.
The updated series caught up viewers with an adult D.J. Tanner-Fuller (Candace Cameron Bure), her sister Stephanie "How Rude" Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and their friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Along the way, original cast members John Stamos, Bob Saget, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin made appearances.
"Fuller House" at least gets a planned series finale, unlike the original series. Back then, producers and cast had gotten wind of the show's cancellation while rehearsing for the Season 8 finale.
The final season of "Fuller House" is slated to launch in the fall.
