Full West Ham squad available for Premier League tie against Brentford amid two late decisions

West Ham United will be hoping to see the returns of two of their big-money summer signings when they host Brentford on Friday night.

The Hammers head into their meeting with Brentford off the back of four straight Premier league defeats, their joint-worst run in the Premier League since the opening four games of the 2018/19 season.

For the meeting with the Bees, West Ham have two guaranteed absentees through long-term injuries. Centre-back Kurt Zouma remains out after undergoing knee surgery last month but is closing in on a return to training.

Winger Maxwel Cornet, who has not played since October 1, remains a long-term absentee after a number of setbacks on his recovery from a calf injury. Earlier this week, Cornet saw a specialist in Paris, with an operation potentially required on the issue.

While those two are guaranteed absentees, two of the Hammers’ star signings could return following respective short-term issues.

Striker Gianluca Scamacca missed the Boxing Day defeat to Arsenal following an ankle injury sustained in the mid-season friendly with Fulham earlier this month. However the Italian forward has trained and has a chance of returning.

Also close to returning to the matchday squad is centre-back Nayef Aguerd. The Moroccan international returned from the 2022 World Cup with a virus that led to him losing a few kilograms in weight, but has done some training and could be a late inclusion into the squad.

Teenage striker Divin Mubama made his Premier League debut off the bench against Arsenal and on Thursday, was pictured in training with fellow academy players midfielder Kamarai Swyer and goalkeeper Krisztian Hegyi, suggesting those three could be involved.

Here is a look at who could feature for the Hammers against the Bees.
