Full transcript: Sabri Lamouchi on the defeat to Arsenal, not risking Lewis Grabban and two late injuries

Sabri Lamouchi felt Nottingham Forest were unlucky to lose 5-0 to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

While the Reds boss fully accepted defeat in the third round tie was deserved, he believes Forest played a little better than the scoreline suggests.

Here is the full transcript from his post match press conference.

What were your thoughts on the game?

After the second goal we gave up a little bit but five is too much. In the first half we didn't play like we know.

With the ball we showed a lot of respect to the opponent.

We are out of this competition but against a big club with top players. I'm disappointed for the players.

I'm disappointed for the fans because they came here a lot. We'll focus on the league now.

Did you show Arsenal too much respect in the first half?

For me, we showed Arsenal too much respect in the first half. The second half, we started so well for 15 to 20 minutes.

I thought to put Lewis Grabban in after the second goal but decided it was not necessary to try to come back in the game.

I prefer to save him. We don't have a lot of choice. I want to repeat, we deserved to lose, but five is too much.

You had a chance early in the second half on the break. Was that a turning point?

You're right. That was a crucial moment. The right choice, the good pass makes a difference.

I cannot complain about my players. They tried, they ran.

Now we need to think about the next one. It's a different competition, the League. We'll think about that from tomorrow.

You have a lack of options in attack. Is that why you played Albert Adomah as a striker?

Sammy Ameobi was my first choice but he received a kick to his ankle on Saturday. It was difficult for me to take a risk.

I tried to have Lolley and Adomah keep the ball. We had problems at the last moment with Bostock and Semedo (getting injured) so we had to adapt.

The midfield was very complementary with Johnson, Silva and Carvalho but we never played like we know.

We could not kepe the ball and find the right moment to play forwards and make problems for the opponent.

Second half it was much better for 15 to 20 minutes only. The last pass, the last choice was wrong.
