Full transcript as Jurgen Klopp reacts to Man Utd's controversial goal against Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp said Manchester United's goal against Liverpool in Sunday's derby highlighted all the problems with VAR.

The Red Devils went in front at Old Trafford after Daniel James found Marcus Rashford with a whipped cross and the England international slotted home.

Divock Origi appeared to be fouled by Victor Lindelof in the build-up to the goal, and the challenge was reviewed by VAR.

But the referee decided there wasn't enough in the challenge to chalk off the goal and it stood, much to the frustration of Klopp.

The Reds boss was asked about the incident and the result after Liverpool battled back to draw with United, following the fixture.

Here's what Klopp had to say on Sky Sports

"The result is good - it's not what we wanted before the game. But the way it developed I feel we have to be happy. We take the point because for a long time they were 1-0 up.

"We had good moments in the second half but I didn't like the first half, because we gave Manchester United opportunities to do what they wanted.

"We allowed them to be aggressive and win challenges everywhere. We had to pass the lines and the opportunities were there, but we didn't see them.

"They were better than us and defended well, but in the end they scored a goal that shows all the problems with VAR.

"Mr Atkinson let the game run on because that is the protocol of VAR, and VAR shows there was contact and it was a foul.

"But we couldn't change that. They still had 60 or 70 yards to run to score the goal, but it's not cool.

"We then scored a goal that was disallowed. Pretty much everything went against us today, but we still didn't lose. We deserved the point, 100 per cent.".
