Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has a number of injuries to contend with ahead of the Europa League Round of 32 encounters with Wolfsberger AC.
Spurs are looking to go to Hungary to take on the Austrian team and bring a healthy lead back to London ahead of the second leg on February 24.
Tottenham have faced a hectic run of fixtures recently with 12 matches in the previous six-and-a-half weeks since the turn of the year and the squad has seen a number of players struck by injury.
Spurs' talisman Harry Kane sat out two matches and there have been longer absences to Sergio Reguilon, Giovanni Lo Celso and Serge Aurier.
With the recent spate of injuries and fixture congestions, Jose Mourinho could well use the Europa League as an opportunity to rotate and provide some game time to the fringe and young members of his squad.
In his pre-match press conference the managers confirmed that some of the young players at the club will be traveling to Hungary and at the very least will be on the substitutes bench:
"The good thing is that in the Europa League we can have 12 players on the bench, so you travel with 23 and all of them are on the bench," said Mourinho.
"That is a good opportunity for some of the kids, and there is always the chance they can play.
"Dennis Cirkin is selected, Dane Scarlett, and the first time for Marcel Lavinier and Jamie Bowden, which is good for them and good for the others, it gives them a window of hope. Even if they don't play, it's a great experience for them."
Mourinho confirmed that the first leg would come too soon for Reguilon, Aurier and Lo Celso but Spaniard Reguilon could potentially be back for the return leg in a week's time as he picks up his recovery from a muscle injury.
Joe Rodon has been involved in five of Tottenham's last eight fixtures but is ineligible to play in Europe as he is not deemed a homegrown player.
Rodon along with Welsh international teammate Ben Davies are both regarded as non-homegrown players having spent their formative years at Swansea City, which until recently was part of the Welsh federation.
Tottenham are allowed 18 non-homegrown players in their squad under UEFA regulations and have decided not to add Rodon to that list for the latter part of the competition. The defender will therefore remain in London ahead of Sunday's clash away to West Ham.
