Full Tottenham squad revealed for FA Cup tie at Marine as Jose Mourinho plots changes

Tottenham are back in cup action this weekend as they prepare to take on minnows Marine.

Jose Mourinho's men booked a place in the Carabao Cup final last time out after seeing off Championship side Brentford 2-0.

Now Spurs travel to Merseyside to face Marine from Division One North West of the Northern Premier League in the third round of the FA Cup today (Sunday, 5pm kick-off).

Mourinho could ring the changes but will no doubt be keen to set off on another cup run.

Gareth Bale could be in contention to play some part, having been out with a calf injury since just before Christmas.

Bale returned to training on Friday and Mourinho said he would make a decision on his potential involvement yesterday (Saturday).

"What I can say, and is also a way to show you the respect we are looking to this fixture, is that Gareth told us he would like to go, he would like to play, so, if tomorrow the feelings are positive, he will come," he added.

Erik Lamela could also be recalled, having been one of three players from the club to break Tier 4 coronavirus regulations over the Christmas period. Giovani Lo Celso remains sidelined due to a thigh problem.

Matt Doherty and Joe Rodon should both be available once again, having been suspended and cup-tied respectively against Brentford.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was replaced in the closing moments of that game after being on the receiving end of a nasty challenge that led to Josh DaSilva being sent off.

The Danish midfielder wanted to continue and could be in contention to feature at Marine, unless he sits this one out due to concerns over the sheer amount of minutes he's played this season. Steven Bergwijn was an unused substitute against Brentford and could be rested again.

Mourinho revealed after the win against Leeds United that Bergwijn had been struggling towards the end.

"He's accumulating also physical problems," said Mourinho. "I don't know if you could see but even in the last 10 minutes he was touching his groin, he was touching his adductor.

"He's having problems that are stopping him now and again from training properly and at a high intensity so he's suffering a little bit."
