Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to progress to the Carabao Cup final when they lock horns with Championship promotion chasers Brentford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this evening, kick-off 7:45pm.
Spurs, who will be looking to reach their first domestic final since 2015, got back to winning ways in the Premier League on Saturday, defeating Leeds United 3-0, meaning they finally brought their four-game winless run in the league to an end.
Having put an end to that lean spell, Jose Mourinho, the Spurs head coach, who has won the Carabao Cup on four occasions during his managerial career, will be hoping to see his side build on that victory and progress to April's final at Wembley.
Although Spurs will enter this evening's clash with the Bees, who have dumped four Premier League clubs out of the competition already this season, as overwhelming favourites, particularly with home advantage on their side, it will be a stern test for the north London outfit, with their London counterparts currently on an unbeaten run of 16 games in all competitions.
Despite that, Mourinho insists the visit of Thomas Frank's side is the biggest game of his Spurs tenure so far.
Speaking ahead of tonight's clash, the Portuguese chief said: "I think it is my biggest game since coming to Spurs. In the perspective of the club chasing silverware for many years I would say so.
"The only thing more important than semi-finals is finals."
Should Spurs get the better of the Bees this evening and progress to the final, which will see them face either Manchester City or Manchester United, Mourinho is hopeful that a win could give them a huge boost for the remainder of the season.
"For me every competition is important," Mourinho added. "I won what was then the Carling Cup in my first season in England in 2004/05, so for me every competition is different and does matter.
"That's my way of looking at things and especially in a club without silverware in I think more than one decade. Every competition becomes even more important.
"If we win two matches we win a trophy - two difficult matches of course - which I think would be a very good thing for the club and the players."
With the Carabao Cup clearly on Mourinho's priority list, it is unlikely that the former Chelsea and Manchester United chief will make wholesale changes to his team this evening, though one or two alterations are likely.
Right-back Serge Aurier is poised to start at right-back with Matt Doherty suspended after being sent-off in the latter stages of the wins over Leeds.
Elsewhere, winger Steven Bergwijn is unlikely to be risked after struggling towards the end of the clash with Leeds.
"He's accumulating also physical problems," Mourinho said. "I don't know if you could see but even in the last 10 minutes he was touching his groin, he was touching his abductor."
Meanwhile, Gareth Bale and Giovani Lo Celso will once again miss out through injury, whilst Joe Rodon is unavailable due to being cup-tied.
