Full Tottenham squad for Premier League clash vs Newcastle United revealed

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to record a first home win of the new season this afternoon.

On the opening weekend of the 2020/21 campaign, the Lilywhites slumped to a 1-0 loss against an Everton side who have added the likes of James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure to their squad in the transfer window.

But Jose Mourinho's side have responded in style by recording three wins in a row across all competitions and go into today's game against Newcastle United full of confidence.

With the games coming thick and fast, Mourinho has the chance to rotate his squad for the visit of Steve Bruce's side and he has delivered an update on a potential debut for summer signing Sergio Reguilon.

"Sergio will train with us on Friday. The information I got today from the people that stayed behind was that he had a complete session today and Friday he joins the group," he said.

"Maybe not match fit but not injured any more and ready to train with the team.

"Gareth will take a little bit longer so of course no chance for the weekend.

"The market is open, we have a good squad. Can we have a better squad than we have now? Yes we can. Is the club trying to build that balanced squad that we all want, yes we are trying.

"Let's see if that's possible."

Ahead of this afternoon's clash against the Magpies, the Spurs head coach will be without youngster Japhet Tanganga, while a decision will be made regarding whether Tanguy Ndombele can start.

With that in mind, Mourinho has no shortage of options as he should have a near full-strength squad to choose from with no fresh injury concerns following the win over Shkendija in the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday night.
