Full steam ahead for Grangemouth park regeneration project

Grangemouth's Zetland Park Regeneration Project has today taken a big step forward, with the arrival of the Charlotte Dundas steamboat.

The climbing frame will be a dominant feature as part of the £192,000 revamp.

The existing play area closed to families last November, and is expected to be completed by late Spring this year.

Its arrival has caused must excitement amongst locals.

One said: "Aw this is amazing, I can't wait to see it all built. My wee boy is buzzing."

Another posted: "Just in time for lockdown to be lifted, our wee park will be looking beautiful."

A third wrote: "Cannae wait to be sailing down the park oan the Charlotte Dundas man."

Contractors Kompan gave kids in the area to have their and let them design what the park should look like.

Posted on social media, the Zetland Park Regeneration Project said: "Look what Kompan Scotland are taking delivery of at Zetland Park today!"

"These are the sections of the Charlotte Dundas play ship. It’s so exciting to see it arrive."
