Full squad revealed for Leeds United's trip to Barnsley as star eyes return from injury

Leeds United are finally back in action this afternoon when they make the short trip down the M1 to face Yorkshire rivals Barnsley.

Marcelo Bielsa's side have had two weeks to lick their wounds after they went into the international break on the back of their first defeat of the season following Swansea's last-gasp 1-0 win at Elland Road.

While plenty of Leeds' players were on international duty, the remainder have had the opportunity to rest and recover from a hectic first month of the season.

Sunday's game could see Tyler Roberts' first inclusion in a matchday squad, after the Welsh forward stepped up his comeback from injury during the break with 45 minutes for the under-23s last Monday. Bielsa said during his pre-Tykes press conference that Roberts would be available for the clash.

Leeds' international contingent, which included skipper Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Gjanni Alioski and Eddie Nketiah, have all reported back for duty with no injury worries.

The Sunday lunchtime kick-off has come too quickly for Luke Ayling, who, like Roberts, has missed the whole season so far, but the right-back is penciled in to turn out for Carlos Corberan's side next week. That means Ayling will be absent from the trip to Oakwell, as will Jordan Stevens, who is now serving a six-week ban from all football activities after punishment was handed down from the FA for breaching their gambling rules.

Leeds began the weekend in third place, dropping to fourth spot following Saturday's matches, but defeats for Swansea and Charlton mean a win will send Bielsa's side back to the top of the Championship.

Full Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Barry Douglas, Adam Forshaw, Ben White, Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts, Kiko Casilla, Eddie Nketiah, Stuart Dallas, Helder Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Jack Harrison, Kalvin Phillips, Gaetano Berardi, Kamil Miazek, Pascal Struijk, Robbie Gotts, Alfie McCalmont, Leif Davis, Mateusz Klich, Mateusz Bogusz, Jamie Shackleton, Jack Clarke.
