The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus across Merseyside is continuing to rise.
Liverpool is experiencing a sharp rise in diagnosed cases of Covid-19, while other Merseyside boroughs are also seeing rises in confirmed cases.
Here are the latest statistics for our region.
Liverpool
Liverpool is continuing to experience a worrying rise in confirmed cases of coronavirus.
On Friday, March 20 there were just 14 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the city.
In the latest data, as of Monday, March 30, the number of cases in Liverpool is now 197.
As mentioned, in reality this number will be much higher as it is mainly those who are seriously ill in hospital who have been tested.
So far there has been one Covid-19 death in Liverpool after popular local musician Cy Tucker passed away at the Royal Liverpool Hospital last week.
Wirral
Wirral is also seeing a rise in case numbers - but it is the death toll on the peninsula that sadly stands out.
There are now 56 confirmed cases of Covid-19 on the Wirral (again this figure will be much higher in reality).
Worryingly, there have already been five coronavirus deaths in the borough - out of six in total on Merseyside.
Knowsley
Knowsley has seen a smaller jump in cases, the borough now has 34 confirmed.
Sefton
Sefton's numbers are higher.
As of Monday March 30 there were 57 confirmed cases in the borough.
St Helens
The latest figures show there are 49 confirmed coronavirus cases in the St Helens area.
Halton
There are just 19 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Runcorn and Widnes areas at present.
