Full Liverpool squad available to face Nottingham Forest as Darwin Nunez gamble considered

Liverpool will look to continue their resurgence with a fourth consecutive win this weekend when they travel to Nottingham Forest at lunchtime.

The Reds could climb up to fifth in the Premier League - albeit, potentially only for a few hours - with a win at the City Ground and go into today's clash on the back of 1-0 league wins against Manchester City and West Ham. Darwin Nunez' s header on Wednesday evening sealed victory against the Hammers to set Jurgen Klopp's side on track to catch their top-four challengers.

Liverpool have not played a league game at the City Ground since 1999 - a 2-2 draw with goals from Jamie Redknapp and Michael Owen - but did face Steve Cooper's men in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup back in March.

Speaking ahead of their trip to Nottinghamshire, Klopp confirmed there are no fresh injuries within his squad, but the Reds boss hinted he will be forced to make changes so shortly after the win over West Ham, with Darwin Nunez set to face a late fitness test.

Klopp said: "We have to check (Darwin). He had treatment yesterday and we will see what we get told later. No injuries, no comebacks. No injuries but two tough games in short succession and now another coming up. We need to have a closer look at who we can start again, or who can come in to start. It's really close."

That means, despite being spotted back in training this week, Naby Keita remains unavailable for Liverpool. The 27-year-old has not featured since a late substitute appearance in the Community Shield back in July, but returned to training this week as he continues his rehabilitation.

Klopp confirmed that both Keita and Ibrahima Konate - who suffered a muscle injury in the 7-1 win against Rangers - will be in full first-team training come Monday, although he urged caution in allowing the pair to take their time regaining full fitness.

Curtis Jones came off the bench just before the hour mark in midweek and will be in contention to feature again this afternoon, following his recovery from a stress-related injury in his shin, while Calvin Ramsay could be in contention for his first-team debut after featuring - and scoring - in the Under-21s' 3-2 Papa John's Trophy defeat at Accrington Stanley on Tuesday.
