Full list of road diversions as Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William and Kate to visit Dublin

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will arrive in Dublin Airport today to begin their three day visit.

Their travel itinerary has been released, which shows the key locations they'll be visiting as they tour the country.

Today their focus will be in Dublin City Centre including Aras an Uachtarain, The Garden of Remembrance, Government Buildings and the Guinness Store House.

Tomorrow the visit will include locations in Temple Bar and and Howth.

The day after sees the Duke and Duchess travel to Galway city centre and a local GAA club.

A garda spokeswoman said: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will arrive and depart at Dublin Airport.  Normal operations will continue at Dublin Airport at all times.

"The public can expect temporary rolling road closures, to facilitate security escorts over the course of the 3rd – 5th March 2020, in the locations above. Any impact on the public will be localised and minimal."

Road Diversions

From 2pm to 4pm, there will be traffic restrictions near the Garden of Remembrance including North Frederick Street and Parnell Square.

From roughly 3pm to 5pm, traffic restrictions will be in place in the vicinity of Government Buildings and around Merrion Square.

In the evening, Market Street South and Bellevue, Dublin 8 will be closed to all traffic. Pedestrian access to the Guinness Storehouse will be restricted to invited and vetted persons only.

On Wednesday morning until 11am, Essex Street East will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians.

From 3pm to 5pm, Howth will have restricted access. Local access will be maintained and local diversion routes will be in place.

Specialist gardai including armed support units are already deployed to patrol and secure areas on the royal couple's itinerary.
