Full list of reopening dates and rule changes on the way as Taoiseach confirms summer reopening

Ireland is set for a summer reopening as pubs, hairdressers, retail and more are set to return in the coming weeks and months.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin spoke in an address to the nation this evening where he revealed a roadmap for the summer.

Government leaders agreed the changes in a Cabinet meeting this afternoon.

In what was hailed as “a day of optimism and hope” by Minister Simon Harris on the way into the meeting earlier, Cabinet gave the green light to intercounty travel, hairdressers reopening and sports training for adults from Monday week.

Three households will be allowed to meet up outdoors, including in your garden, and up to 50 people can attend mass or other religious services again.

A week later on May 17 will see the mass reopening of shops.
