The Premier League will finally resume on Wednesday after more than three months away.
Top flight clubs will begin finishing their respective seasons from Wednesday when Aston Villa and Sheffield United get the campaign back underway, closely followed by Manchester City vs Arsenal.
Manchester United, meanwhile, will get back to action with a trip to North London to face Tottenham Hotspur on Friday.
But the return does not come without its issues, and one of those issues is the contract situation concerning a number of clubs and indeed players.
Many Premier League players are out of contract this season and that means they will not be eligible to play beyond June 30, despite the season rumbling on beyond that date.
Some clubs have negated the issue by tying players down to short-term extensions, while others face limbo and the prospect of finding a new club when that date rolls around.
Here is the latest on the situation.
Players out of contract
There are well over 50 Premier League players out of contract this summer.
But clubs can agree short-term deals with players to cover the end of the season providing both the club and player agree on terms by June 23 at the latest.
Premier League chief Richard Masters confirmed the rule change, saying: "What we decided is to ensure, as far as possible, that clubs complete the season with the same squad they had available, prior to the suspension of the campaign.
"Players can extend their contracts beyond June 30 until the end of the season, but it must be agreed by both parties."
Here is the full list of out-of-contract players, though please note some of these players may have already agreed to play until the season is completed, which is expected to be the case with City pair David Silva and Claudio Bravo.

Can players play for another club this season?
Inevitably, we will see out-of-contract players sign for another club before the season has finished but that doesn't mean they can play for that club just yet.
Due to Premier League registration rules, players who sign for a new club before this season is up will have to wait until pre-season and the 2020/21 campaign to make their debut.
