Western Australia has had a COVID exposure scare with a FIFO worker returning a weak positive test, after coming into contact with another COVID-positive traveller.

The West Australian Health Department is still tracing all of the movements of the COVID-19-positive man but it is known already that he visited several venues at either end of Perth.

A full list of these sites is included at the bottom of this article.

The FIFO worker returned from his on-swing on Tuesday morning, July 27.

On Wednesday night he went to the pub — specifically the Old Faithful Bar and BBQ at 1 Packenham Street in Fremantle.

He was there between 5:00pm and 7:30pm.

The following evening, on Thursday July 29, he went to a venue in Perth's northern beachside suburb of Scarborough — The Indian Ocean Hotel, popularly known as 'Indi Bar' on Hastings Street.

The man was there from 7:30pm to 1:00am.

That Saturday, July 31, he was in Subiaco and visited the Subiaco Hotel on Hay Street from 6:30pm to midnight.

Two days later, on Monday of this week — August 2 — the man visited the Pathwest waiting room in Fremantle Hospital from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.

It is thought he may have picked up the virus while waiting to fly out on July 20 at Perth Airport Terminals 3 and 4 between 4:00am and 7:00am.

His co-workers at the FMG Cloudbreak site are being tested for COVID-19.

And so should anyone who was at the Airport when he returned from his FIFO swing via Perth Airport terminals 3 and 4 between 4:30pm and 6:00pm.

The WA Health Minister has asked anyone who attended these locations to get tested and isolate immediately, until receiving a negative result.

A full list can also be found on the Healthy WA website.
