Full list of parking price rises in Liverpool as costs increase by up to 25%

Planned increases in parking costs across Liverpool have been revealed in newly released council documents.

Liverpool Council is in the middle of setting its budget for the coming year amid intense pressure to save money.

Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson has previously said the city faces its biggest financial crisis since WWII as it looks to slice £57m from its budget by 2021.

And while the council has avoided making redundancies as part of the plans both frontline and back office services are going to be affected.

As part of the plans, outlines of which are set to go to the council's cabinet next week, parking charges are set to go up in what will likely be one of the most quickly noticeable effects for many in the city.

The price rises affect on-street parking across the city and eight of the 11 council-operated car parks.

Of the remaining three one, Victoria Street car park, is left unaffected.

The others, Finch Place and Fraser Street, are either free of charge or used mainly for business contracts.
