The news we’ve all been waiting for has arrived - McDonald’s is officially reopening selected restaurants next week.
The fast food chain closed the doors to its UK restaurants in March to prevent the spread of coronavirus , but last week CEO Paul Pomroy revealed McDonald’s would “slowly, but safely, begin to resume serving McDonald’s customers again.”
This meant the opening of 15 selected restaurants for delivery only.
Since the announcement last week , fans have been anxiously waiting for the release of which stores would reopen.
But now for the bad news. No Merseyside restaurants made the list.

- Ipswich Cardinal Park
- Boreham Interchange
- Luton Leagrave
- Watford Herfordshire Arms
- Chaul End Lane, Luton
- Beechings Way, Gillinham
- Sittingbourne Retail Park
- Gillingham Bowaters
- Tootins
- Dalston
- Welling
- Harrow
- Luton George Street
All above stores will reopen on May 13 from 11am.
When McDonald’s released the news on Facebook, the statement said: “Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants and will keep you updated here as we add more.
“Slowly, but safely we will return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis.”
