Full list of all the hospitals giving coronavirus vaccine in Wales

These are the hospitals in Wales which will be carrying out mass vaccinations for coronavirus in the biggest immunisation programme run by the NHS.

The first vaccinations in the UK, and the world, were carried out last week in the first step towards ending the virus' impact on the world.

A number of mass vaccination centres have been announced, but none of these are in Wales at the present time. The nearest centre to Wales is Bristol's Ashton Gate stadium.

But all seven of Wales' health boards will be rolling out vaccinations - with the NHS contacting people when it's their turn.

Members of the public urged to be patient and not contact authorities themselves.

On Thursday, UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock said "tens of thousands" of people had received a vaccination.

Two days earlier Margaret Keenan became the first patient to be given the Pfizer jab in Coventry.

She said: "I feel so privileged to be the first person vaccinated against Covid-19, it’s the best early birthday present I could wish for because it means I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the New Year after being on my own for most of the year.”

Care home residents, people over 80 and healthcare workers will be among the first to be given the jab, with health chiefs saying prioritising those most in need will stop 99% of preventable Covid-19 deaths.

The rest of the population will follow, with the likelihood that mass immunisation can be carried out by the spring.

These are the organisatons in Wales offering vaccinations:

  1. Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, Glan Clwyd
  2. Powys Teaching Health Board, Brecon
  3. Hywel Dda University Health Board, Haverfordwest
  4. Swansea Bay University Health Board, Swansea
  5. Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, Newport
  6. Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Merthyr Tydfil
  7. Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, Cardiff
