Coronavirus continues to see countries imposing tough travel rules from border closures to mandatory quarantine for arrivals.
Meanwhile the Omicron variant has seen some countries tightening up rules for UK travellers due to concerns over the spread of the variant with the likes of France, Germany and Morocco all having recently changed entry and border restrictions.
Of course there are still plenty of countries open to Brits for holidays including Greece, Turkey and the USA.
However, as MyLondon reports, there are also plenty of countries that continue to keep their borders closed or impose quarantine restrictions on any foreign visitors.
To give you a helping hand, we've put together a list of the 32 countries which are currently keeping borders closed to Brits - you can see the full list below.
Europe
France
France currently has a ban on UK travellers unless you have an essential reason to visit. The country has said it will look to ease its travel ban although this is likely to be to allow business travel rather than holidays.
The Netherlands
All UK arrivals aged 13 or over need to quarantine for 10 days, regardless of vaccination status. However, there is a 'test and release' option after five days.
The Americas
The Falkland Islands
Tourists are currently not permitted to visit the Falkland Islands. This also applies to cruise passengers.
Suriname
The Foreign Office warns that "restrictions include enhanced medical screening and border closures, which is stopping people travelling into and out of the country and limiting those who wish to leave".
Australasia
Australia
Australia is currently closed to tourists. The country has however begun the second phase in the reopening of its borders which includes welcoming back foreign visa holders such as international students and those visiting for a 'working holiday'.
The Cook Islands
Borders are closed to all travellers, unless they have been granted an exemption provided in writing by the Cook Islands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration.

Nauru
Nauru isn't technically closed to visitors, but it's essentially closed to Brits because you can only reach the island with flights from Australia - and there is currently only a fortnightly service from Brisbane.
New Zealand
New Zealand has closed its borders to almost all arrivals. You may only be able to travel if you are considered to have a critical purpose.
Papua New Guinea
The Foreign Office currently advises against all but essential travel to Papua New Guinea "based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risk". Commercial flights to and from Papua New Guinea remain very limited.

Pitcairn Island
Pitcairn has closed its borders except to residents and temporary residents who are travelling for work. The only way to reach the island is to travel on a supply vessel during its 14-day journey between New Zealand and Pitcairn.
Tonga
Tongan borders are closed to entry to all foreign nationals, except if authorisation is granted by the relevant Tongan government authorities.
Asia
Bhutan
Bhutan has closed its borders to all foreign nationals.
Brunei
Entry to Brunei is severely restricted with all land and sea borders currently closed. Brits will require a permit from the Brunei Prime Minister's Office to visit.
China
The country banned all direct flights and restrictions remain in place for flights from third-party countries.
Hong Kong
Hong Kong has introduced a ban for anyone who has visited the UK within the past 21 days. This begins on January 8 and is expected to last for at least two weeks.
Prior to the ban, UK arrivals need to undergo compulsory quarantine at a Quarantine Centre for the first four days of the 21 day quarantine period, with daily testing and monitoring. Travellers will then be subject to 17 days of compulsory quarantine in a designated quarantine hotel, where they will be required to undergo further testing, followed by seven days of self-monitoring.
Indonesia
Anyone who has been in the UK in the previous 14 days before travel, or transited through the UK, is not allowed to enter Indonesia.
Japan
Japan has currently closed its borders to foreign nationals including Brits due to concerns over Omicron. Travellers who do not have existing resident status are not permitted to visit unless they are granted exceptional circumstances.
Laos
No visas are being issued to people travelling from a country with cases of Covid-19, including the UK, though they may grant special permission for essential reasons.

Macao
Any foreign nationals who are not residents of Macao, Hong Kong, Taiwan or mainland China will be denied entry. There may be exceptions for special circumstances.
Malaysia
Brits are prohibited from visiting Malaysia, with some exemptions such as holders of a resident pass or are spouses of Malaysian nationals. However you can not visit for tourism reasons.
Mongolia
Brits without long-stay visas, residence permits or business visas are not permitted to visit Mongolia. All international flights are suspended.
Myanmar
The Foreign Office advises against all but essential travel to Myanmar "based on recent political events". New tourist visa applications are currently suspended.

Singapore
Singapore has temporarily frozen the sale of tickets for its quarantine-free "travel lanes" system which allowed entry for vaccinated people from 24 countries, including the UK.
Taiwan
Taiwanese authorities have announced a temporary ban on foreign nationals entering Taiwan.
Thailand
Thailand has temporarily suspended its quarantine-free travel scheme for foreign visitors, meaning anyone who hasn't already been approved won't be able to visit unless they undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine. The only exception is for visits to Phuket, where there is a 'Phuket Sandbox' scheme which allows Brits to visit quarantine-free, although you won't be allowed to travel onwards to other parts of Thailand.

Turkmenistan
All international scheduled commercial flights to and from Turkmenistan have been suspended.
Vietnam
Vietnam has suspended visa waivers, issuing of visas and the entry into Vietnam for all foreign nationals.
Middle East
Kuwait
The country has reopened to foreigners who have valid residency in Kuwait, and who are fully vaccinated against Covid. (Your second vaccine cannot be more than nine months ago if you haven't yet had your third dose).
Africa
Benin
The country only grants visitors entry when there is an 'extreme necessity'.
Eritrea
Some flights allowed but extremely limited as "all land borders are closed and are not expected to re-open in the near future" according to the Foreign Office.
Gabon
Brits need to receive authorisation from the Gabonese government in order to be able to travel to the country. Land and sea borders are closed, although flight restrictions are being eased to allow for five flights per airline, per week.
Morocco
Morocco has suspended all flights and ferry services in to and out of the country until at least January 31.
