Pub chain JD Wetherspoon has announced it is closing 16 pubs and bars across the country and putting them up for sale.
The nationwide company's announcement affects pubs in various regions including the North West, South West, Yorkshire and the Humber and the Midlands.
A statement on Wednesday said the decision had been taken after "long consideration".
All 16 are open for bids and will continue trading as normal for now - but if they're sold, will likely be rebranded with a new name, menu and prices, as WalesOnline reports.

Wetherspoons hasn't said if any potential buyers are lined up or why it's chosen to sell the 16 outlets.
Speaking about the decision to sell the Newport pub in South Wales, Wetherspoons spokesman Eddie Gershon said: “We totally understand that our loyal customers and staff will be disappointed with this decision. However, Wetherspoon, does on occasion, put some of its pubs up for sale.
“It is a commercial decision taken by the company after long consideration. The pub will continue to trade as normal until a buyer is found.
“We have told our staff that if the pub is sold and they do not transfer to the purchaser, then we would look to redeploy our employees at other Wetherspoon pubs in the region.”
