Full Leeds United squad vs Newcastle revealed as Marcelo Bielsa welcomes back first-team trio

Leeds United's net gain of first-team players this weekend stands at just one, as Diego Llorente, Joe Gelhardt and Tyler Roberts return to the fold at the same time as Adam Forshaw and Junior Firpo join the absentees list.

The Whites should be able to field a full starting XI comprised of senior players, although Marcelo Bielsa could viably start one of Lewis Bate or Leo Hjelde after their satisfactory displays in the 3-2 win over West Ham United last weekend.

Llorente returns following a one-match suspension. The Spaniard had accrued five yellow cards in Leeds' first 19 games of the season, while Gelhardt and Roberts were named by Bielsa in his pre-match press conference as two players who were likely to be back in contention.

Gelhardt injured his ankle in training, while Roberts picked up a calf injury in the 3-1 win over Burnley on January 2.

Forshaw and Firpo will spend an indeterminate period of time on the sidelines, although the former did share an update on his social media profiles earlier this week indicating the hamstring injury sustained in the capital was not severe.

It is possible both could be back after the January international break.

Patrick Bamford was hoped to be available for today, however Bielsa revealed the striker had picked up a new injury in the bottom of his foot. It is assumed this will keep him out of action against Newcastle at the very least.

Here is the full Leeds United squad to face Newcastle United.

Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Kristoffer Klaesson, Pascal Struijk, Diego Llorente, Robin Koch, Luke Ayling, Stuart Dallas, Nohan Kenneh, Leo Hjelde, Liam McCarron, Jack Jenkins, Lewis Bate, Mateusz Klich, Rodrigo Moreno, Tyler Roberts, Raphinha, Daniel James, Jack Harrison, Joe Gelhardt
