Full Leeds United squad revealed for Wolves clash as Raphinha set for timely return

Leeds United will be without at least four key first teamers when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

Patrick Bamford, Robin Koch, Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo are all set to be absent once again after missing last weekend’s 1-0 defeat to Southampton.

Meanwhile, Leeds fans will face an anxious wait regarding the fitness of key midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips missed the trip to St. Mary’s last Saturday due to a hip injury, as well as England’s two October World Cup qualifying matches due to a minor calf problem.

In his pre-match press conference, manager Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that Phillips is ‘healthy’ again but believes it would be a risk to throw him straight back into the starting line-up after missing three weeks of football.

He said: “He's healthy, but he hasn’t competed for three weeks. If he played on Saturday, it’d be far too quick. It's necessary for more football training."

In better news for the Whites, Raphinha is set to return to the XI after he was also deemed unavailable for selection for the defeat on the South Coast.

The 24-year-old only finished his match winning Brazil display against Uruguay 36 hours before kick off at Southampton and despite making the trip to Southampton, Bielsa opted against naming him in the squad.

Full Leeds United squad expected: Illan Meslier, Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper, Raphinha, Tyler Roberts, Kristoffer Klaesson, Diego Llorente, Stuart Dallas, Rodrigo, Daniel James, Pascal Struijk, Jack Harrison, Kalvin Phillips, Joe Gelhardt, Leo Hjelde, Charlie Cresswell, Cody Drameh, Crysencio Summerville, Stuart McKinstry, Sam Greenwood, Mateusz Klich, Jamie Shackleton.
