Full Leeds United squad revealed for Man City trip as Bielsa makes a call on defensive cover

Marcelo Bielsa is expected to, once again, be in a position where he has to disappoint a member of his senior Leeds United squad.

We are led to believe he has 21 of his 22 first-team squad fit and available for the match at Manchester City this lunchtime, meaning one must miss out.

Gaetano Berardi, short of match time, long-term fitness and Premier League experience, looks likely to be the man left out of today’s squad.

Jamie Shackleton, Robin Koch, Pascal Struijk and Leif Davis all cover the starting back four from the bench, so it’s hard to see where Berardi fits in.

Davis would be the man to come in for the ineligible Jack Harrison, but there may well be a debate on his role for Bielsa, who will make a final decision this morning in Manchester.

Full Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper, Ian Poveda, Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts, Kiko Casilla, Diego Llorente, Stuart Dallas, Helder Costa, Raphinha, Pablo Hernandez, Rodrigo, Pascal Struijk, Kalvin Phillips, Leif Davis, Gaetano Berardi, Mateusz Klich, Jamie Shackleton.
