Full Leeds United squad revealed for Huddersfield Town trip as Marcelo Bielsa responds to suspension

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa will be forced into making at least one change to his starting line-up for this lunchtime's West Yorkshire derby clash with Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium, kick-off 12.30pm.

Midfield star Kalvin Phillips, who signed a new contract at Elland Road back in September, will miss the trip to HD1 through suspension, after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in last Saturday's 4-0 victory over Middlesbrough at Elland Road, meaning he must serve a one-match suspension.

Phillips's absence is poised to open the door for Swiss defender Gaetano Berardi to come into the side, with centre-half Ben White, on loan from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion, set to move into defensive midfield, a position which Bielsa is confident he can deliver the goods in.

As well as being without Phillips through suspension, the Whites, who have been beaten in their last three meetings with the Terriers, will also be without midfield duo Jamie Shackleton and Adam Forshaw once again.

Shackleton, who briefly made his return from a previous injury lay-off in the 1-0 win against Reading last month, has suffered a fresh muscular injury, meaning he is ruled out, as is fellow central midfield man Forshaw, who continues to recover from a hip problem.

Meanwhile, forward Tyler Roberts will also miss the short trip down the M62 due to a hamstring issue, which he suffered against Reading.

Full Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Barry Douglas, Ben White, Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski, Kiko Casilla, Eddie Nketiah, Stuart Dallas, Helder Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Jack Harrison, Gaetano Berardi, Kamil Miazek, Leif Davis, Mateusz Klich, Jack Clarke, Jordan Stevens.
