Pablo Hernandez and Barry Douglas are expected to return to Leeds United’s squad at Elland Road on Saturday as Fulham visit in arguably the biggest match of 2019/20.
The Spanish playmaker had trained all week when Marcelo Bielsa faced the media on Thursday, with a decision taken yesterday on his involvement.
With the signs positive on Hernandez, Douglas’s absence was neither mentioned before nor after the loss at Cardiff City, suggesting he too has recovered from a knock.
Illan Meslier will continue between the sticks as Kiko Casilla now looks at five more matches of his ban before coming into contention.
Luke Ayling was withdrawn early in Cardiff, but there was no report of an injury issue from Bielsa.
Adam Forshaw and Jean-Kevin Augustin are expected to be the only players missing because of fitness issues.
Tyler Roberts looked to be in some difficulty during the latter stages of the loss in Wales on Sunday, but Bielsa reports the forward will be fine for today.
Full Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Barry Douglas, Ben White, Liam Cooper, Ian Poveda, Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts, Stuart Dallas, Helder Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Jack Harrison, Kalvin Phillips, Elia Caprile, Gaetano Berardi, Kamil Miazek, Pascal Struijk, Robbie Gotts, Leif Davis, Mateusz Klich, Jamie Shackleton, Jordan Stevens.
