Full Leeds United squad revealed for centenary Birmingham City clash with Pablo Hernandez back

Three major injuries continue to dog Marcelo Bielsa and his Leeds United squad, but Pablo Hernandez looks set to return to the fold.

The Spanish winger seems unlikely to return to the starting XI immediately after being given 30 minutes with the under-23s at Birmingham City on Friday afternoon.

That should mean Helder Costa continues down the right wing in a side which is likely to be unchanged from the XI which lost at Millwall a fortnight ago.

Adam Forshaw, Liam Cooper and Jamie Shackleton are the big misses, while Jack Clarke’s appearance with the under-23s and Hernandez’s return may mean he comes out of the matchday squad once again.

That will depend on Bielsa’s preference for either Illan Meslier, who also played with the under-23s, or Kamil Miazek as his substitute goalkeeper.

Gaetano Berardi’s red card was overturned, so he will continue at centre-back alongside Ben White.

Stuart Dallas is poised to continue in central midfield with Luke Ayling wearing the captain’s armband at right-back.

Full Leeds United squad: Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Barry Douglas, Ben White, Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts, Kiko Casilla, Eddie Nketiah, Stuart Dallas, Helder Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Jack Harrison, Kalvin Phillips, Gaetano Berardi, Kamil Miazek, Robbie Gotts, Leif Davis, Mateusz Klich.
