Full Leeds United squad revealed for Blackburn Rovers clash at Ewood Park

Leeds United will be aiming to take another giant stride towards achieving promotion back to the Premier League when they lock horns with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park this afternoon.

The Whites, who were 2-1 winners over Rovers in the reverse fixture at Elland Road back in November, missed out on the chance to open up a four-point gap at the top of the pile on Tuesday evening as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Luton Town.

But Leeds can ill-afford to reflect on their midweek frustrations as they know they need to get back to winning ways against Blackburn this afternoon.

Ahead of the contest with Rovers, who still have an outside chance of securing a play-off berth, head coach Marcelo Bielsa will be sweating over the fitness of key duo Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas, with both of them forced off in the midweek stalemate against the Hatters.

Bielsa, who has not done a pre-match press conference ahead of the trip over the Pennines this afternoon, issued an update on the duo following the full-time whistle at Elland Road on Tuesday.

On Cooper's injury, Bielsa said: "I think it’s a kick, very painful in the side, but don’t think it’s a heavy injury."

On Dallas, the Argentine added: "I think he feels something in the glutes, but I don’t think he’s going to play in the next match."

Since Bielsa last spoke to the media on Tuesday night, midfielder Kalvin Phillips is the only person to have since addressed the press, and he confirmed that Cooper and Dallas, who has scored four times this season, have not been training since the draw with Luton.

With that in mind, though it is not officially confirmed, both look as though they could be strong doubts for today's tussle with Tony Mowbray's side.

Elsewhere, Leeds' only confirmed absentees are goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, who is still suspended, and midfielder Adam Forshaw, who is continuing to work his way back up to full fitness after a long-term hip injury.

Full Leeds squad to face Blackburn: Illan Meslier, Luke Ayling, Barry Douglas, Ben White, Liam Cooper, Ian Poveda, Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski, Tyler Roberts, Stuart Dallas, Helder Costa, Pablo Hernandez, Jack Harrison, Kalvin Phillips, Elia Caprile, Gaetano Berardi, Kamil Miazek, Pascal Struijk, Robbie Gotts, Leif Davis, Mateusz Klich, Mateusz Bogusz, Jamie Shackleton, Jordan Stevens.
