Full Everton injury list ahead of Leeds United clash as Lampard's defensive injuries mount up

Jesse Marsch will be looking for a reaction from his players as Leeds United host Everton on Tuesday evening.

The Whites fell to their first defeat of the season on Saturday, losing 1-0 at Brighton, but they have an opportunity to get back on the winning trail. Everton were one of Leeds' main rivals in the battle to avoid relegation last season, and they have started the new campaign winless in their first four games.

The Toffees also have a number of injury concerns for the clash at Elland Road. Here is a look at Everton's absentee list.

Ben Godfrey - fibula

Godfrey suffered a fractured fibula in Everton's opening day defeat against Chelsea. The defender had to be taken off on a stretcher after going in for a challenge with Kai Havertz.

The 24-year-old is expected to be out for around three months with the injury.

Yerry Mina - ankle

Mina was also forced off in the 1-0 defeat to Chelsea. The Colombia international suffered ankle ligament damage in the second-half of the game.

The injury isn't as serious as Godfrey's, but Mina still isn't expected to return to action until October.

Mason Holgate - knee

Another defensive injury, Holgate was forced off the pitch in Everton's 1-1 draw at Brentford on Saturday with a knee injury

“He’s opened up his knee and felt some pain so we are going to scan it in the next day or so," said Lampard.

"The feeling is it will be weeks, maximum, we hope, but may take him out of the next couple of games. I don’t want to jump the gun too much on that but hopefully it’s not a really bad injury.”

Abdoulaye Doucoure - hamstring

Midfielder Doucoure limped off in the Toffees' 2-1 defeat at Aston Villa on August 13 with a hamstring problem.

On August 19, Lampard said: "Doucoure is probably going to be about three weeks from now."

Andres Gomes - muscle

Gomes hasn't featured for Everton this season. On August 4, Lampard said the Portuguese was 'a week or two away' from making a return.

Andros Townsend - ACL

Townsend is a long-term absentee after suffering an ACL injury in March. The experienced winger isn't expected to return to action until the New Year.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin - knee

Calvert-Lewin picked up an injury before the start of the season. The early prognosis was that his knee issue would keep him out for six weeks.

The striker is set to return to training this week and is 'ahead of schedule', according to Lampard.

He said: "We must be calm, because we can’t push him at this stage. He is working really hard and with great focus out on the grass.

"If he trains in the middle of next week, will it make him available for the Liverpool game? That will be tough. But hopefully we can start looking at the games after that, if all goes according to plan."
