Full Chelsea squad revealed for UEFA Champions League clash with Malmo as 5 stars left at home

Chelsea are in action this evening as they take on Malmo in the Champions League.

The Blues come into the clash in Sweden fresh off the back of another victory after beating Newcastle United 3-0 at St. James' Park on Saturday afternoon.

Tuchel spoke to the press on Monday afternoon, with the Chelsea boss providing updates on some of his injured players.

Mason Mount was a late absentee for the weekend's clash with the Magpies, with the England international feeling ill, while Mateo Kovacic picked up a hamstring problem in the Blues' recent win over Southampton in the Carabao Cup.

Meanwhile, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku both limped off in Chelsea's win against Malmo last month at Stamford Bridge and will both be missing for the return fixture. N'Golo MKante has also been left at home.

Tuchel said: "Yes, these players are all still out. For Timo, Romelu and Kova no surprise. For Mason, he does not feel better. To stop any speculation, it's not Covid.

"He's negative for Covid. He's just ill and doesn't feel good enough to take part in training or make the trip to Malmo."

However, Christian Pulisic is available again.

The American has been unavailable for a large percentage of the season after picking up an injury whilst representing the USA.

With that all in mind, let's take a look at the squad Tuchel has available to him for tonight's game.

Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli, Edouard Mendy, Lucas Bergstrom*

Defenders: Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen, Trevoh Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Malang Sarr.

Midfielders: Jorginho, Saul Niguez, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley, Hakim Ziyech, Lewis Baker.

Forwards: Callum Hudson-Odoi*, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, Harvey Vale*

Chelsea trail Juventus by three points in Group H and anything but a victory tonight will be considered a failure for the current European Champions.
