Full Chelsea squad revealed for Liverpool clash as Thomas Tuchel faces Thiago Silva wait

Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge with both sides attempting to cling onto the coattails of Manchester City.

The Blues lie 11 points behind Pep Guardiola's side and are aiming for their first home win since December 11 against the Reds.

Thomas Tuchel's side defeated Leeds 3-2 on that day and have since drawn with both Everton and Brighton.

Tuchel's squad has had limitation with Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Romelu Lukaku all suffering from COVID-19 in December, in addition to injuries to the likes of Ben Chilwell.

Both Reece James and Andreas Christensen required substitutions against the Seagulls due to a hamstring injury and back injury respectively. The Denmark international has suffered with the issue in December and received an injection, but has not been pictured in training since Wednesday's game.

Thiago Silva and Werner have both returned to training ahead of the clash with Liverpool but while Tuchel is hopeful that the Brazilian can feature, he is less confident in the German international's progress.

The Blues boss said: "Timo does not feel good. He’s the one who suffers the most from Covid and who is still struggling physically."

Providing Silva's hamstring does not suffer a reaction to returning to training, he should be available to face the Reds.

Here is the squad Tuchel is set to have available to him at Stamford Bridge:

Goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Marcus Bettinelli.

Defenders: Antonio Rudiger, Malang Sarr, Trevoh Chalobah, Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva.

Midfielders: N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Saul Niguez, Jorginho, Ross Barkley, Mason Mount.

Forwards: Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Romelu Lukaku.
