Full Chelsea squad revealed for huge Premier League clash vs Tottenham at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea will be looking to leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur and go top of the Premier League table when the two sides meet at Stamford Bridge this afternoon, kick-off 4:30pm.

The Blues, who were beaten by Spurs back in September in the Carabao Cup, extended their winning run to seven matches in all competitions on Tuesday evening, registering a hard-fought 2-1 win over French outfit Rennes in the Champions League, with striker Olivier Giroud stepping off the bench to net a late winner.

That last-gasp header from Giroud sealed Chelsea's passage to the last-16 of the Champions League with two group games to spare, meaning Frank Lampard's side can now focus on domestic matters for the time being.

Chelsea vs Spurs is special rivalry

Having defeated the likes of Burnley, Sheffield United and Newcastle United in recent weeks, this afternoon's clash with Spurs will act as a step-up in quality of opponent, with Spurs currently sat in second place on 20 points.

Like Chelsea, Spurs have been on an excellent run of late, winning their last five matches in all competitions, including an impressive 2-0 triumph over Manchester City last weekend.

With Spurs set to arrive in west London brimming with confidence and form in their sails, Lampard is going to need his players to be performing at the very top of their game, especially when you take into account that Spurs boast the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min within their ranks.

Fortunately for Lampard, he will be able to call upon all of his senior stars, including winger Christian Pulisic, who is poised to return after missing the last five matches with a hamstring problem.

Ahead of Tuesday's clash with Rennes, Lampard confirmed that the USA international was making good progress and could be in contention for the clash with Jose Mourinho's troops.

And, speaking to the media on Friday, Lampard confirmed that the winger is poised to make a return.

Lampard said: "Pulisic is back into contention for fitness."

Though the former Borussia Dortmund ace is poised to return, it is unlikely that Lampard will throw him straight into the starting line-up, with a cameo appearance from the bench more likely.

Elsewhere, Germany international Kai Havertz, who joined the club from Bayer Leverkusen back in September, will be pushing for a place in the starting line-up after returning to the match-day squad against Rennes. He stepped off the bench with 16 minutes remaining in France after successfully recovering from coronavirus.

The only concern Lampard may have for this afternoon's game is whether or not he feels Billy Gilmour, who has been sidelined since July with a serious knee injury, is ready to make a return to the first-team squad.

Aside from that, Chelsea have no other injury or suspension concerns to contend with.
