Full Chelsea squad for Premier League clash vs Wolves revealed

Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League this evening.

The Blues are back in action three days after losing 1-0 away at Everton as they take on a Wolves side who were also beaten at the weekend and by the same scoreline at the hands of Aston Villa.

It finished 5-2 to Chelsea in the corresponding fixture last season with Tammy Abraham scoring a hat-trick and, as expected, Frank Lampard is hoping for his side to bounce back following defeat at Goodison Park.

"The Premier League is unforgiving. We saw that with different results over the weekend and we see it pretty much every weekend and matchday," Lampard said in his pre-match press conference.

Champions League: Full draw for first knockout round

"We weren't at our top level on Saturday and we got beaten. That's it.

"We've been on a long unbeaten run, playing some really good football as well as winning games. We dropped our level for a game.

"That's absolutely on us to pick it up again straight away."

The good news for Chelsea is that Christian Pulisic - who didn't travel to Merseyside because of injury - is in contention to make his return against Wolves.

"Yes, he was out of the squad through injury so he was out of the squad at the weekend," Lampard added. "He trained on the day we played against Everton and he felt better so he is in the squad for tomorrow.

"It is yet to be decided whether he starts or not but it is positive news from where it was at the weekend."

Ahead of this evening's clash against Wolves, Lampard will be without just two first-team players as Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi miss out through injury.

Both players are expected to be available during the festive period, but the game at Molineux Stadium comes too soon.

With that in mind, Lampard has no shortage of options as he should have a near full-strength squad to choose from with no other fresh injury concerns.
