Full capacity confirmed for St Johnstone's Europa League match with Galatasaray

St Johnstone have been granted a full capacity for Thursday’s huge Europa League qualifier with Galatasaray.

Perth and Kinross Council confirmed the news on Monday morning after receiving an application from the Perth club.

Saints are on the brink of a European giant-killing following last week’s impressive 1-1 draw with Galatasaray in Istanbul.

And now they will have the backing of a packed McDiarmid Park for added inspiration.

A Perth and Kinross Council spokesperson said: “Having received the application late last week from St Johnstone Football Club for a return to full capacity at Thursday’s match, we have reviewed this over the weekend.

“We are delighted to confirm that in line with guidance issued by the Scottish Government and in consultation with our partner organisations, such as Police Scotland, the club can operate at full capacity for the match.

“We hope all the fans enjoy the match, stay safe and best of luck to the Saints.”

St Johnstone quickly noted that they will communicate all ticketing information as soon as it is confirmed.
