Full breakdown of Covid-19 figures in Northern Ireland

435 lives have sadly been lost to Covid-19 in Northern Ireland, it was announced today.

The Department of Health said that five more people have died in the past 24 hours after testing positive for the virus.

The newest data indicated that the most recent deaths reported, are individuals aged 80 and over - the number of deaths in this age range has reached 284.

131 fatalities have been recorded in the 60-79 age range, 18 in the 40-59 age range and one death in the 20-39 age range.   

One death has been reported as 'not known' for this section of the data.

By Local Government District, there have been more deaths in the Belfast district than any other NI area.

Belfast's council area has 132 reported deaths - two more than yesterday.

Lisburn and Castlereagh has also seen an increase in deaths over the past 24 hours by one, bringing the total number of deaths here to 39.

Mid and East Antrim has also reported one further death since yesterday, as has Ards and North Down.

There have been 435 deaths to Coronavirus across our communities, taking the lives of 223 males and 211 females. The gender of one individual is unknown, the Department reports.

As of 10am on Sunday May 10, there are 661 inpatients in 19 hospitals across Northern Ireland - a jump in 15 from yesterday. And there was also a rise in admissions by 58, according to Department figures.

The Department also indicates that in this most recent reporting period, 43 patients were discharged from hospital care. There are currently 27 patients in ICU.

The South Eastern Trust has the highest number of inpatients (174), then the Northern and Southern Trust are both reported to have 136 inpatients.

There are 109 inpatients in the Western Trust and 106 in the Belfast Trust.

Of the 32,634 individuals tested, 28,493 of these have returned negative, 4,119 positive and 22 indeterminate, as per Department data.
