Full Atletico Madrid squad revealed for Chelsea clash as Diego Simeone makes Luis Suarez call

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid will go toe-to-toe for a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League when they meet in the second-leg of their last-16 tussle on Wednesday evening.

The Blues, who maintained their unbeaten start to life under head coach Thomas Tuchel on Saturday lunchtime, playing out a goalless draw with Leeds United at Elland Road, hold a one-goal advantage from the first-leg.

A second half stunner from Olivier Giroud was enough to settle the contest in Bucharest, securing Chelsea a vital away goal ahead of the return-leg at Stamford Bridge.

But despite being a goal to the good from the first-leg last month, Chelsea will be fully aware that the tie is far from over, with Atletico having knocked Liverpool out of the competition last season when having to come from behind.

And to crank up the Blues' fears that little more, the Spanish giants will arrive in west London with a forward line consisting of Joao Felix and former Liverpool and Barcelona star Luis Suarez, after Diego Simeone, speaking to the media on Tuesday lunchtime, confirmed the duo will start the second-leg.

The Atletico chief said: "Joao is going to play from the beginning.

"Probably tomorrow is the right day for Luis Suarez to end the streak that you are talking about [goalless away from home in Europe]. Why not? Tomorrow could be a beautiful day.

"We will play with both of them to see which one is better for us to be able to win from any minute.

"The goal is to improve our situation from the first leg. We don’t know how they will approach it, but I know what we want from the match, which is to win it."

Unlike for the first-leg, Simeone has a fully-fit crop of players to choose from, with wing-backs Kieran Trippier, who is no stranger to London, and Yannick Carrasco are fit and available for selection.

Whilst Simeone has confirmed that both Felix and Suarez, who have scored a combined total of 28 goals between them, will start against Tuchel's in-form Blues, he has refused to give any other team news away, but Atletico have since announced their travelling squad that will make the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Full Atletico Madrid squad confirmed for Chelsea clash:

Goalkeepers: Ivo Grbic, Jan Oblak & Miguel San Roman.

Defenders: Jose Gimenez, Renan Lodi, Stefan Savic, Felipe, Mario Hermoso, Kieran Trippier & Sime Vrsaljko.

Midfielders: Geoffrey Kondogbia, Lucas Torreira, Koke, Saul, Thomas Lemar, Marcos Llorente, Hector Herrera, Vitolo & Yannick Carrasco.

Strikers: Joao Felix, Luis Suarez, Angel Correa & Moussa Dembele.
