Arsenal travel to Austria this evening for their first Europa League group stage tie of the season against Rapid Wien.
Mikel Arteta will want his side to bounce back after the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday evening.
Speaking after the game, the Spaniard said he was proud of his players' performances.
"Upset obviously not to get anything from the game the way the game went because I felt that we kept growing and growing and having more belief that we could actually get something from it," he said.
"At the same time I'm extremely proud about the way we played individually and collectively to put the performance that we put in tonight in this stadium. It's not an easy thing to do."
For Arsenal fans, there was some cause for optimism however, with deadline day signing Thomas Partey coming off the bench to make his debut at the Etihad.
The Ghana international could make his first start for the club on Thursday, with Arteta likely to shuffle the pack ahead of the Gunners' game with Leicester on Sunday.
"We will see how quickly we can make it with him [Partey] but as well we have to respect that process and that time for him because he only trained a day really with us," Arteta admitted after the game, when asked why Partey didn't start.
"It's a lot of new information, it's a completely different game model for him to understand.
"We have to respect a little bit that. When he came on he looked good."
Arteta has some other issues to contend with however, with Dani Ceballos and Willian ruled out through knocks picked up on Saturday.
Rob Holding is also out for three weeks after picking up a hamstring injury.
