Full Arsenal squad revealed for Manchester City clash as Mikel Arteta dealt Thomas Partey blow

Arsenal face perhaps their biggest task of the season this afternoon as they welcome Manchester City to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have already played City in the league this term and were maybe a touch unfortunate to lose 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

That was a completely different proposition, though, with Pep Guardiola's men now playing unbelievable football.

The Premier League leaders have not lost in all competitions since late-November and are set to cause Arsenal some serious problems in north London.

Mikel Arteta is under no illusions about the size of his team's challenge this afternoon and called his former club the best team in Europe at the moment.

He said : "I think they are the best team in Europe at the moment. The way they are performing, the football they are playing and the consistency of the results take all that it an it makes them the best team.

"So we have a big but as well a very exciting challenge ahead of us on Sunday."

Arteta will have to face City without key midfielder Thomas Partey, who is set to be sidelined with a thigh injury.

The midfielder watched on as Arsenal trained ahead of the game, but looks set to play no part in the fixture.

Apart from that, though, the Spaniard has a full squad to choose from ahead of today's big clash, which could see the Gunners move as eighth, depending on other results.

Full Arsenal squad
