Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers LIVE: Premier League latest score, goals and updates from fixture

A general view of Craven Cottage - (Getty Images)

Follow live coverage as Fulham face Wolverhampton Wanderers today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Liverpool look to fend off competition from Arsenal, Manchester City and more.

The race for the Champions League places should also be a compelling battle, with a fifth place possible for English teams. Manchester United’s latest rebuild under Ruben Amorim sets expectations high once more after a dismal season last time out.

Meanwhile, it’s Burnley, Leeds United and Sunderland who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

17:06

It is all over here at Craven Cottage, with Fulham dismantling Wolves 3-0. It was an uphill battle inside the first ten minutes, as Sessegnon was on the end of Jimenez’ pass and made no mistake with the finish. Agbadou saw red after he took out King who was through on goal. Wolves’ best spell came in the final couple of minutes in the first half and first few minute of the second, however, the game was taken away from them just after the hour mark. Wilson was first onto the ball on the edge of the area and buried a first-time effort into the bottom corner. Matters were made worse when Mosquera diverted Sessegnon’s cross into his own net. Fulham accumulated an xG of 1.58, whereas Wolves could only muster up 0.25xG. It is the end of the Fulham losing streak, in a result that takes them up to 14th. Wolves are still routed to the foot of the table, and become the first side in Premier League history to go winless in their first ten matches two seasons running. Fulham face a trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium next week, where they face Everton. Wolves will be returning to London to face Chelsea under the Stamford Bridge lights. That’s all for today’s coverage. Fulham will be delighted to get back to winning ways – Wolves will be wondering where they’re first win will come. Thank you all and have a good rest of your day!

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

16:14

Wolves are penning Fulham back. They are pushing players forward and causing their hosts a little bit of trouble. Fulham may have to be patient and clinical on the break.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

16:13

It looks to be an uphill battle for Wolves in the second half. At a goal and a man down, the task at hand looks an incredibly difficult one. A remarkable comeback would be the perfect way to kickstart their season, but they have only created chances worth 0.18 xG so far. Fulham have been far from their best in attack, too, with 0.29 xG.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

16:12

The half-time whistle goes at Craven Cottage, with Fulham leading Wolves 1-0. It only took nine minutes until Sessegnon opened the scoring for the hosts, finishing past Johnstone when one-on-one. Agbadou then received a straight red card for denying King a clear goalscoring opportunity. The VAR had a good look to see if King had handled the ball, however, they deemed there was no clear and obvious error. Strand Larsen was inches away from making it 1-1 with the last touch of the half, but Fulham are still ahead. The Opta supercomputer has given Wolves just a 1.6% chance of turning the game around – Fulham have a 90.7% chance of taking home the three points.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:49

Wolves have struggled in the last 19 minutes to get forward in numbers. They haven’t threatened Leno in goal as of yet.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:49

Toti plays a cross from deep towards the back post. Munetsi meets it with a header, however it’s a poor attempt and out for a Fulham goal-kick.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:46

Tete has found himself in a crossing area twice in as many minutes. His cross in the box forces Hoever to clear for a corner-kick.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:31

Wolves are struggling to involve Strand Larsen in the play so far. The striker has had the least touches (six).

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:29

Kevin is enjoying being out there from the start. He is trying to beat Hoever at every opportunity, and so far has had the better of the battle.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:25

Iwobi tees off Wilson from the freekick and lines up a shot from range. Bellegarde does well to close him down and block the powerful effort.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:19

Hoever gives away an unnecessary corner after a lack of communication between the defence. Iwobi’s corner is intentionally floated to Wilson on the edge of the area, however, he makes a mess of the finish and it’s out for a goal-kick.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:17

It is a perfectly weighted pass from Jimenez to find Sessegnon through on goal.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:17

GOALLLLLL!!! SESSEGNON OPENS THE SCORING!!!! Fulham have the lead! Santiago Bueno commits to the interception and goes to ground. His poor touch falls to Jimenez, who then picks out Sessegnon in the space left behind by Santiago Bueno. Johnstone gets a touch on his shot, but he cannot keep it out. 1-0 to Fulham.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:18

Wolves have responded well to going behind, pushing Fulham deeper into their own half.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:17

Perhaps less than other goals we have seen Wolves concede, but it is another error leading to the Fulham goal. Once Santiago Bueno made the decision to commit, he simply had to get the ball clear at all costs.

15:14

Wolves have lost all six games in which they have conceded the opening goal this campaign.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:11

Fulham enjoying some possession in the early stages. Agbadou has done well on several occasions to stop the Fulham attack so far.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:08

After Wolves' late loss to Burnley last Sunday, Pereira makes just the two changes to the starting XI. It’s a tactical switch back to the three-at-the-back system that Wolves operated with earlier in the season. Rodrigo Gomes misses out through injury and Andre is benched, with Agbadou and Toti Gomes coming into the side, both expected to be part of the back three. The change will most likely see Krejci move into the midfield.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:08

Marco Silva makes four changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Newcastle last time out. Andersen comes back into the team after missing the last game with a muscle injury – Diop drops to the bench. It also looks to be a whole new service team for Jimenez up top, with all three of Wilson, King, and Kevin given the start, as Traore, Smith Rowe and Lukic are benched.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:09

Wolves win the first corner of the match as Kevin manages to stop Munetsi from getting a cross into the area.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:07

It feels like it can’t get any worse for Wolves this season, but a loss today would add to the growing sense of gloom around the club. Currently sitting bottom of the league, they are still in search of their first win of the season. Last weekend’s game against Burnley was most certainly the lowest point of the campaign so far. After Vitor Pereira's side fought back from two goals down to level things up, Burnley then scored a 95th minute winner to secure the three points, leading to some ugly scenes after the full-time whistle. If Wolves fail to win today, they could become the first side in top-flight history to start back-to-back seasons winless in their first 10 league games.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:05

Today is Kevin’s first start in the Premier League, after impressing in his cameo's so far.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

15:03

KICK-OFF: today’s referee, John Brooks, blows his whistle and we are underway!

14:57

The teams are out as kick-off is just moments away!

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

14:52

Fulham have lost each of their last four Premier League matches, with no current side on a longer losing run. The Cottagers haven’t had a longer losing streak within the same season since losing nine in a row between February and April in the 2018-19 campaign.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

14:30

WOLVES SUBS: Jose Sa, David Moller Wolfe, Andre, Joao Gomes, Hwang Hee-Chan, Tolu Arokodare, Yerson Mosquera, Fer Lopez, Jackson Tchatchoua.

Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

14:30

After a fairly strong start to the campaign, Fulham now find themselves just outside the relegation zone in 17th place. They began the season with just one loss in their first five games, but after four losses on the bounce they sit in a precarious position in the league. Last time they hosted Wolves they fell to an embarrassing 4-1 defeat – something that cannot happen today. Raul Jimenez will be hoping to score his first goal against his former side, after failing to do so in three previous appearances against Wolves.
