Man City took advantage of Fulham’s second half self-destruction to go 17 points clear at the top of the Premier League with a 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage.
The two sides had been fairly evenly matched in the opening 45 minutes but when John Stones broke the deadlock shortly after the break Fulham capitulated and City quickly took the game away.
Gabriel Jesus pounced on a mic-up in the back line to round Alphonse Areola and wallop into an empty net before Sergio Aguero’s first league goal in 417 days made the points safe on the hour-mark.
